BASED AT:                Italy Home Office (Florence GVR)

 

Purpose of Position

To provide highest level of technical support for GVR product lines (Veeder-Root ATG, Red Jacket submersible pumps and Fafnir ATG).

The main focus within the role is supporting our customers and business partners, in addition to providing technical advice and training in relation to standard work.

Key Responsibilities

1.   Technical support and diagnostics.

2.  Remote troubleshooting to devices.

3.  Field support in special cases where on site presence is required.

4.  Manage case tracking systems to root cause analysis and monitor performance.

5.  Document product related issues and or improvement needs.

6.  Producing technical documentation and training in local region language and English.

7.  Support the development of training material and training courses within the Learning Management System (LMS)

8.  Conducting training courses in local language and in English.

9.  Daily management meetings with line manager, covering measurements of success.

10. Become the “expert of experts” for specific products and or features of the product range.

11.  Participate at customer meetings to support sales activities.

12.  Project management for lager system roll-outs. Supervise warranty claims and validate special cases.

13.  Manage field trials for new or modified products.

14.  Advise on legal compliance in relation to GVR technical and safety aspects.

15.  Manage and support FMS team in Florence.

  1. External: End-User, Customer, Installation Companies, Maintenance Companies, Distributors, Technical Inspection Agency, Authorities.

Scope

  1. As part of a European team to ensure optimal and safe installation, commissioning, maintenance and the operation of our systems with special attention to the Italian market.

Background and Skill

  1. Electrical/electronic education
  2. Good IT background knowledge with basic networking [for example N+ Certified]
  3. Microsoft Office suite of products.
  4. Experience with M2M connections and usage of terminal programs.
  5. Basic knowledge of RS232, Telnet communications.
  6. Good general knowledge in areas of mathematics and physics.
  7. Local and or International driving license (preferably clear of penalties).
  8. Experience in electrical installations and or intrinsically safe circuits
  9. Experiences in petroleum industry and its safety standards.
  10. Management / leadership
